PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for forming a liquid-tight seal between a capillary column and a connector. SOLUTION: The liquid tight sealing technique includes a step (I) for inserting the capillary column (20) in one auxiliary tubing (30) so as to leave the exposed part of the capillary column (20), a step (II) for forcibly fitting the capillary column (20) to a tapered conical bore (55) in the connector (40) to form a first liquid-tight seal (180) between the exposed part and the connector (40), and a step (III) for moving the auxiliary tubing (30) into the connector (40) having the tapered conical hole (55) to forcibly fit the same in the connector (40) to form a second liquid-tight seal (190) between the auxiliary tubing (30) and the connector (40).
