PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material suitable for the precast molding of a magnesium alloy. SOLUTION: The ingot or sheet of a magnesium alloy, or a molding material with a fine grain size obtained by chipping the same is subjected to heating treatment at 400 to 530 deg.C for >=10 hr, and is successively subjected to age hardening treatment at about 200 deg.C to reduce the crystal grain size of theαphase in the material to about 10μ, so that the precast injection molding material is obtained.
