The device for opening packets containing vacuum-packed coffee has a box-form body (5) with three edges (6-8) formed as cutting edges which produce a flap-form incision of the packing (1). A section of the body's generated surface is formed with prongs (9) in a fork configuration which puncture the packing during opening in a section of the flap not cut-out by the cutting edges. The prongs are installed to rotate towards the inside of the body around a pivot (10) connecting the prongs. The length of the prongs is such that during pivoting the prongs can fold back the flap-form cut-out section of the packing out from the packing into the box.
