PURPOSE: A wireless communication apparatus and a microwave oven cooperating with the same are provided to operate in a microwave oven without a special detector detecting the operation timing of a magnetron installed in the oven or the magnetron being an iron-transformer-driven one or an inverter-driven one. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication apparatus including transmitting unit(27) for transmitting digital information in packets, comprises a crossing-timing detecting unit(24) for detecting a crossing point where a voltage of a commercial power source(21) decreases below a threshold value, and a communication controlling unit(25) for synchronizing the start of a time slot used by the transmitting unit(27) to transmit the packets with the crossing point detected by the crossing-timing detecting unit(24).
