PURPOSE: A packaging device of an organic electro-luminescence device is provided to protect effectively an electro-luminescence layer by simplifying a packaging plate. CONSTITUTION: An organic electro-luminescence device is formed with a substrate(62), an organic electro-luminescence layer(70), and a packaging plate. The organic electro-luminescence layer(70) is formed on the substrate(62) in order to emit light according to a supplied driving voltage and current. The packaging plate is combined with the substrate(62) in order to cover the organic electro-luminescence layer(70). An organic compound layer(68) is formed between the first electrode(66) and the second electrode(68) formed on the substrate(62). The organic electro-luminescence layer(70) supplies electrons and holes from the first and the second electrodes(66,64) to the organic compound layer(68). The packaging plate has a moisture absorbing layer(76) to protect the organic electro-luminescence layer(70) from oxygen and moisture. The moisture absorbing layer(76) is grown on a rear face of the packaging plate.
