PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably produce a cast slab not to be subjected to the treatment in a high speed continuous casting. SOLUTION: When spouted flow of molten steel supplied into a mold for continuous casting through an immersion nozzle is controlled by impressing a static magnetic field between the mutually faced side walls in the mold, the molten steel is supplied into the mold at >=6 t/min through-put. Further, respective electromagnets are disposed above and below the immersion nozzle, and the static magnetic field having at least 0.5 T magnetic flux density at a meniscus part in the mold and the static magnetic field having >=0.5 T magnetic flux density at the lower part zone of the spouted flow of the molten steel spouted from spouting holes of the immersion nozzle, are simultaneously impressed.
