PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an equipment for refining harvested bean sprouts by effectively separating the roots, skins, tailings and the like therefrom. SOLUTION: This equipment for refining bean sprouts comprises a water tank 1, a plurality of perforated vessels 2 to be conveyed with their bottoms immersed underwater of the tank 1, and a shower 5 for sprinkling water from above onto the perforated vessels 2 in the tank 1. During conveyance of the perforated vessels 2 with their bottoms partly immersed in the tank 1, the roots, skins, tailings, etc., of bean sprouts in the perforated vessels 2 are washed off by water sprinkled from the shower 5 and run out of the vessels 2.
