PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culturing method and apparatus for simultaneously realizing the water treatment of a waste water and the culture of a feed by treating the waste water discharged from a cultivation aquarium by using an artificially formed food cycle. SOLUTION: The waste water from the cultivation aquarium is introduced to an algae-culturing vessel 6 for culturing algae to treat the waste water from the cultivation aquarium by allowing the nitrogen and the phosphorus in the waste water from the cultivation aquarium to be taken in by the algae as nutrient, and the algae-culturing water is taken out to the exterior of the algae- culturing vessel 6 by subjecting the algae-culturing water to a solid-liquid separation by a membrane separating device 12. The resultant concentrated algae- culturing water is fed to a plankton-culturing vessel 8 to culture the plankton by using the algae as nutrient, and the plankton-culturing water is subjected to a membrane separating device 20 to carry out the solid-liquid separation and to concentrate the plankton-culturing water. The concentrated plankton- culturing water is dehydrated by a dehydrator 9, and the dehydrated plankton is fed to the cultivation aquarium 1 or taken out as a feed product to the outside of the system.
