PURPOSE: A device and a method for automatically tracking radio wave of a vehicle is provided to automatically receive radio wave of local broadcasting stations in accordance with the movement of the vehicle using a cellular phone, so that a driver can receive radio wave of the broadcasting stations without selecting frequencies. CONSTITUTION: A cellular phone that is a personal wireless communication apparatus transmits and receives radio wave for local information while informing the location of the cellular phone itself to a base station. An audio apparatus(20) for vehicle exchanges data with the cellular phone connected thereto and receives radio wave from broadcasting stations. In the audio apparatus(20), a data communication unit(21) exchanges data with the cellular phone. A controller(22) processes signals from the data communication unit(21) and selects frequencies of the broadcasting stations, the frequencies being stored in a memory(24). A display unit(23) visually displays a result processed in the controller(22). A tuner controller(25) enables the selection of frequencies using the processed result. A tuner(26) receives signals of the tuner controller(25) to select the frequencies of the broadcasting stations. And a speaker(30) reproduces voice through an amplifier(27) amplifying signals of the tuner(25).
