PURPOSE: A system and method for exchanging an electronic document for a medical circle is provided to make a hospital, a doctor's office, and a medical treatment institution exchange an electronic document based on a web, issue a prescription, and charge medical treatment wages by an electronic document exchanging method based on a web through a central server being connected through a general information communication network such as the Internet. CONSTITUTION: A server(10) performs a user authentication process with respect to a terminal connected through a medium of an information communication network, supplies an electronic document exchanging method with respect to an authenticated terminal, and exchanges an electronic document to each terminal through the electronic document exchanging method. A hospital terminal(100) is connected to the server through the medium of the information communication network, and inputs/transmits a treating detail and a prescription detail, and identity information to be received the prescription to the server through the electronic document exchanging method. A drugstore terminal(300) is connected to the server through the medium of the information communication network, receives the prescription detail through the server, displays the detail, and inputs/transmits a medical treatment wages charging details. A medical treatment institution terminal(200) is connected to the server through the medium of the information communication network, receives the medical treatment wages charging details in accordance with the treating detail and a prescription detail, and displays the details through the electronic document exchanging method.
