PURPOSE: To form excellent stitches by controlling the clamping force and clamping length of needle thread without obstructing work at the time of sewing in a holing sewing machine provided with a needle thread clamping device. CONSTITUTION: The hole sewing machine 10 is provided with a feed bar 13 mounting a sewing object and feeding it, a vertically moving needle bar 11 provided with a sewing needle 18, a cloth cutter 30 disposed at the rear part of the needle bar 11, a right presser plate 23 and a left presser plate 26 provided respectively on the left and right on the upper surface of the feed bar 13 for pressing the sewing object, a right presser 21 and a left presser 24 composed of a right presser arm 22 and a left presser arm 25 vertically moving them, a needle thread cutting knife 43 cutting the needle thread after sewing is ended and the needle thread clamping device 50 comprising a needle thread clamping part 51 clamping the needle thread after sewing is ended and a vertical drive part 70 vertically driving it. The needle thread clamping device 50 is disposed on the lower surface of an arm part 14 at the rear part of the needle bar 11 between the left and right presser arms 22 and 25 viewing from front and back directions.
