PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vending machine which makes it possible to easily confirm details of abnormality contents of a commodity carrying mechanism and can speedily recover from the abnormal state. SOLUTION: This automatic vending machine is equipped with control parts 11 and 12 which control the operation of the commodity carrying mechanism 13 carrying commodities to be vended and detect its operation state, a RAM 11a which stores abnormality information and abnormality recovery information on the carrying mechanism 13 detected by the control parts 11 and 12, a keyboard 15 for displaying the stored abnormality information and abnormality recovery information, and a printer 16 which prints them. The abnormality information contains the date and time of abnormality, a column number, an abnormality code, and the concrete contents of the abnormality code and the abnormality recovery information has the date and time of recovery from the abnormality.
