PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor-receiving structure which can control the rotation unevenness of an ultrasonic motor. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic motor 0 is composed of a stator 1, consisting of a cylindrical piezoelectric element for generating revolving torque to the cylindrical end surface ES, a rotor 2 which is slidably pressurized in contact with the cylindrical end surface ES for converting the revolving torque to the rotating motion, a base tray 7 which is located in the opposite side of the stator 1 sandwiching the rotor 2 to receive the same, and a rotation assisting means 8, which is placed in contact with the rotor 2 between the rotor 2 and base tray 7 for pressing the rotor 2 toward the cylindrical end surface ES of the stator 1 or the rotation assisting means 8 is composed of a contact plate 82 provided with a projected part 82R, having the projected spherical surface to be in contact with the rotor 2, and a spring member 83 for pressing the contact plate 82 toward the rotor 2, and the stator 1 generates revolving torque at its cylindrical end surface ES through electrostrictive revolving resonance, while the rotor 2 extracts in direct the electrostrictive revolving resonance torque as the rotating motion. |
