PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerprint image input device which can be thinner and produced at a lower cost. SOLUTION: A light transmission plate 2 guides light made incident from an end face and a transmission type liquid crystal plate 1 is opened by a 1 pixel unit. The light from a projection part 31A and a recessed part 31B constituting the fingerprint of a finger 31 is converged through the opening of the transmission type liquid crystal plate 1 and photoelectrically converted in a photodetector. |
