<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal with an enhanced portability equipped with a lid including an opening for natural lighting, whereby the power consumption required for back light is reduced and the brightness of a liquid crystal display screen is heightened. SOLUTION: The outer light is taken in from the opening for the natural lighting to serve as a light source for back light, which allows also suppressing the power consumption required by the back light of the liquid crystal display device and heightening the brightness of the screen of the display device to lead to improvement of the outdoor visibility, and thus the portability of the information terminal unit and be enhanced. Covering the end part opposing to the axis of the body with the natural lighting part will protect the body to lead to prolongation of the lifetime of the information terminal unit, and through utilization of transparency of the natural lighting part, the design of the information terminal unit can be diversified. The end part opposing to the axis of the body is furnished with a slope and the lid portion overlapping the slope is made a photo-conductive plate so that the natural lighting part can be enlarged. Further the angle of the slope is lessened and a palm rest is formed on the body so that the operability of an input device can be enhanced.</p> |
