PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive image sensor which enables to perform shading correction readily without lowering sensor sensitivity. SOLUTION: The image sensor is formed by arranging a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements which are composed of at least a lower electrode, a photoelectric conversion element, an upper transparent electrode and a wiring electrode on an insulation substrate. A light screening film, which is composed of an opaque material, is provided at a part on an upper transparent electrode of at least one photoelectric conversion element of the photoelectric conversion element line. As a result, a photosensitive area of the photoelectric conversion element becomes large gradually from the center of the element line toward a circumference thereof.
