The invention relates to a handheld device (1) for transferring an agent from a support strip (21), preferably a paper or plastic support film, to a substrate. The inventive device comprises a housing (3) that can be opened and reclosed and that accommodates an exchangeable cassette (2) in which an elastic applicator element (16) projecting from the housing (3), a storage or supply reel (14) supplying the support strip (21) and a take-up reel (15) receiving the support strip (21) are arranged. The spring excursion of the applicator element (16), in the state of utilization, is limited under pressure in the direction of the housing (3) by a stop (100) and the applicator element (16) has, at least on one side in an upper sidewall (164), preferably on both sides in both upper sidewalls (164), outer longitudinal edge areas (165) that form, at least in the state of utilization of the handheld device (1), support areas for the stop (100). In order to improve the device in such a way that the operativeness of the handheld device is also safeguarded at manufacturing tolerances of the handheld device, or the housing or the cassette. To this purpose, the stop (100) is disposed on the housing (3) so as to project therefrom. |
