The device has a rotation symmetrical actuation element axially movable relative to the brake disc via a ramp unit and connected to an electric motor via a drive shaft mounted to rotate about its longitudinal axis. The actuation element is a pot-shaped brake piston with which the ramp unit is connected via a threaded nut engaging the threaded spindle drive shaft. One ramp unit ramp surface is formed on the inside of the bottom of the brake piston.
