<p>The present invention relates to a micro-current device for treating inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. A single stage micro-current treatment is produced and applied to the surface of the body of the patient in the vicinity of the symptoms of the inflammatory disease. More particularly, a direct current of approximately 10 νA to 100 νA having a frequency of between 150 and 500 Hz and a Medeor waveform is applied to the area of the patient's body being treated. As a result of the application of this micro-current, there is enhancement of secretion of transforming growth factor - β1 in the cells of the patient.</p> |
