PURPOSE: A power transmission structure of a timer for a microwave oven having multiple time adjusting function is provided to reduce the number of parts and failure rate by employing a slip gear. CONSTITUTION: A timer is comprised of a body(1) and a cover(2) provided on the top of the body(1). In the body(1), a driving gear pivot(4) is provided on the axis of a time shaft(7) that shorts a terminal(5) within the body(1) and hits a bell(6) on the lower of the body(1). A rotor(3) is rotated by a moving coil and a core and provided on the lower of the body(1). A lower transmission gear and an upper transmission gear(9) installed on the top thereof through a spring are connected to one end of the driving gear pivot(4). A first slip gear(10) and a lift gear(11) are provided on the lower transmission gear and the upper transmission gear, respectively. The first slip gear(10) is geared with the lift gear(11). A connecting gear(13) is interposed between a second slip gear and a driving gear(20) on the time shaft(7).
