PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily forming a floor face using a gabion enabling adjustments to match the size of filling stones at a construction site. SOLUTION: The method of forming a floor face includes installing a gabion A with a spiral frame on a foundation floor face to be constructed, then placing concrete 9 on the floor face to embed the bottom of the gabion therein, and filling the gabion with a filler 7 including stones. A portion of the gabion may be buried by placing concrete. Because the method uses the spiral frame, the intervals of the reinforcing bars of the gabion can be freely and easily set to match the size of the packed stones serving as the filler enclosed in the gabion, and no limitations are imposed by the size of the stones. When the gabion is constructed at the construction site, the spiral frame can be efficiently conveyed to the site, so the efficiency of conveyance is high and the operation needed for assembly can be carried out in a small space.
