PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc-like photorecording medium which is capable of decreasing a difference between inner and outer peripheral parts in terms of recording characteristics, especially recording sensitivity and degree of modulation, when data are recorded in the photorecording medium such as DVD-R with an organic coloring matter used in a recording layer, employing a CAV system. SOLUTION: This photorecording medium has the recording layer composed mainly of an organic coloring matter, formed on a substrate in such a way that the film thickness of the recording layer becomes gradually smaller from the inner peripheral part side to the outer peripheral part side and the film thickness of the outer peripheral part side is 3 to 30% smaller than that of the inner peripheral part side. |
