PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of easily and efficiency yielding a cysteine and a cysteine mineral acid salt which is the raw material by using one apparatus and capable of preparing the cysteine from the cysteine mineral acid salt. SOLUTION: The electrolytic reducton of the cysteine mineral acid salt and the deaicdation of the cysteine mineral acid salt are simultaneously performed by using an electrolytic cell. The cell constituted of an anode chamber 11, a hydroxide ion generating chamber 12 and a cathode chamber 13 by using a bipolar membrane and anion exchange membrane. The cysteine mineral acid salt is supplied to the cathode chamber 13 and the aqueous cysteine mineral acid salt solution to the hydroxide ion generating chamber 12, respectively. The cysteine mineral acid salt is obtained from the cathode chamber 13 and the cysteine from the hydroxide ion generating chamber 12. |
