PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mat polyester film which can solve the defects of conventional techniques that mat polyester films containing inactive inorganic particles are liable to have concave or convex continuous streaks, has proper film glossiness, and scarcely has nozzle streak defects. SOLUTION: This mat polyester film contains 0.05 to 10.0 wt.% of inactive inorganic particles, 40 to 100 ppm (as phosphorus element) of a phosphorous compound, 100 to 300 ppm (as antimony element) of an antimony compound, an antimony element/phosphorus element (Sb/P) molar ratio of 0.5 to 1.0, a filtration pressure rise of <=80 kg/cm<2> , and a gloss degree of <=45%.
