PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic vehicle theft prevention device of high reliability. SOLUTION: An electronic steering lock device 1 is provided with a lock means feeding path 81 and an ignition power source path 82. The electric current for operating a motor 23 flows in the lock means feeding path 81 through first contacts 71a, 71b. The electric current for operating electric parts of a vehicle flows in the ignition power source path 82 through second contacts 72a, 72b. Further the electronic steering lock device 1 is provided with a change- over switch 61. The change-over switch 61 opens the first contacts 71a, 71b and mechanically shuts off the locking means feeding path 81 when the electric parts are energized.
