PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing method and polishing device for an optical connector end face capable of obtaining a perfect polished surface in an opti mum time without being influenced by an abrasive state of a polisher. SOLUTION: In this polishing method for the optical connector end face polishing the optical connector end face by pushing the optical connector end face to the polisher and rubbing the end face, the polishing of the optical connector end face is performed with measuring a reflection attenuation amount by a light source, a light power meter and an optical branch device.
