PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating the ceramic layer on the surface of graphite with a metal powder layer (e.g. nickel one) in order to make the ceramic layer antistatic or the like, which method can produce a metal powder layer having high adhesion and being resistant to peeling or the like. SOLUTION: The coating method comprises coating graphite or the ceramic layer on graphite with a coating fluid containing a ceramic powder comprising 1 μm or smaller fine particle and 10-150 μm coarse particles, drying the wet film, further coating the dried film with a coating fluid containing a metal powder, and drying the wet film. The graphite material is provided which contains a ceramic layer comprising 1 μm or smaller fine particles and 10-150 μm coarse particles, and a metal layer formed thereon, and surface treated. The coating material comprises a ceramic powder comprising 1 μm or smaller fine particles and 10-150 μm coarse particles. |
