PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a display part of an oscilloscope without waste by widely displaying only an original signal in displaying a long range waveform, and displaying also a frame of an original waveform including a specified range while enlarging and displaying in a predetermined frame in enlarging and displaying. SOLUTION: A device for observing a waveform displays the long range waveform in a plurality of frames displayed on a display part by folding back. One or more than 1 desired parts of the waveform displayed in an optional frame are specified by a range selecting means, and are displayed in a predetermined one or more than 1 frames by enlarging the specified range. When the frame for displaying the waveform including the specified range is a frame for enlarging and displaying, a display allocating means moves a general display frame including the specified range to a frame other than the frame for enlarging and displaying. Thereby, the general display frame for displaying by appending the specified range to the original waveform and the frame for enlarging and displaying are simultaneously displayed.
