PURPOSE: A key phone system and a method for guiding 'no smoking' by using the same are provided to generate an alarm sound and transmit a guide message relating to 'no smoking' simultaneously when detecting smoke due to smoking by attaching a predetermined sensor to the key phone. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(11) controls a call connection between a private line and an office line, or between private lines and general operations according to a call connection signal applied from a key phone telephone(20). The control unit(11) also controls functions relating to alarm sound transmission and 'no smoking' guide message transmission when a signal relating to detection of smoke is applied from the key phone telephone(20). A plurality of key phone telephones(20) or general telephones connected to the main device(10) of a key phone system are connected to an internal line interface unit(12), so that transmission and reception of data signal or voice signal are relayed. A predetermined guide message is compressed with a PCM(Pulse Code Modulation) method and stored to a voice memory unit(13).
