PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit type building having a piloti which eliminates the wastes related to the structure or cost, and also the ceiling height of the piloti portion can be changed. SOLUTION: This building is formed with a plurality of upper floor unit 11 and lower floor unit 10 stacked as upper and lower layers; a piloti 7 is formed at a lower floor portion and a roof panel 61 forming a roof 6 at the upper side of the piloti 7 is provided in this unit type building 1, the second floor building unit 11 is installed at the upper portion of the first floor building unit 10 facing the piloti 7, a piloti panel 12 covering the upper surface side of the piloti 7 extending horizontally to the piloti side is installed, and the roof panel 13 is supported by this piloti panel 12.
