摘要 A high temperature resistant magnesia-alumina ceramic material has its thermal expansion coefficient adjusted to that of precious metals and their alloys by adding components which contain or form magnesium oxide and magnesium aluminate. A high temperature resistant MgO-Al2O3 ceramic material has a thermal expansion coefficient within the thermal expansion coefficient range of precious metals and their alloys, especially the 9 x 10<-6> to 15 x 10<-6> K<-1> range of platinum and its alloys, the thermal expansion coefficient being adjusted to and within this range by addition of components which contain or form magnesium oxide and magnesium aluminate in different particle size distributions.
