PURPOSE: A retaining wall type gabion and a construction method using the same are provided to improve the stability and the strength of the gabion by forming a trapezoidal gabion and placing concrete between the gabions, and to enable the implantation of plants on the upper most gabion. CONSTITUTION: The retaining wall type gabion comprises a square bottom frame(15); trapezoidal front and rear, first and second side frames(11,12,13,14); a reinforcing bar(17) installed to the front frame; and an iron net(16) installed per each frame, and each inclined edge(18) of the frames are connected with the opposite inclined edge of adjacent frames.
