PURPOSE: Provided is a water softener, which is characterized in that tap water is softened in a primary and a secondary chamber respectively for improving softening efficiency. And ion exchange resin is made of nonwoven fabrics, and the nonwoven fabrics filters are piled up for simple manufacturing. Also porous plate is installed between nonwoven fabrics filters for preventing compressing of the nonwoven fabrics filters. Water distributing port is installed to prevent drift and protect nonwoven fabrics filters. CONSTITUTION: The water softener comprises a water softening tank(10); a dividing plate(20) for dividing the softening tank(10) into the primary and the secondary chambers(21)(22); an inlet pipe(30), for inflow of raw water, equipped with the primary chamber(21); an outlet pipe(40), for outflow of treated water, equipped with the secondary chamber(22); the water distributing port(50), for distributing raw water, installed at the lower part of the primary chamber(21); an adsorption part(60) for removing impurities; and a porous plate(70) for preventing compressing of the nonwoven fabrics filters. The adsorption part(60) is composed of nonwoven fabrics filters(61).
