PURPOSE: A device for defrosting of refrigerator is provided to defrost a refrigerator compartment without supplying heat and to reduce power consumption. CONSTITUTION: Evaporators(4) are installed in two refrigerator compartments(1), respectively. Liquefied refrigerant is supplied to the refrigerator compartments by a three-way control valve(2) and defrosts and removes frost in one of the refrigerator compartments which stops working to be cooled down so as to be supplied to the evaporator of the other of the refrigerator compartments which works. Refrigerant outlets of the evaporators meet each other on a tube and to be connected to a compressor. Control valves(5) are installed on chilled air outlets of the refrigerator compartments. Three-way control valves or control valves are installed on drainpipes of the refrigerator compartments.
