PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing deterioration in the characteristic of a transistor part due to adhesion of drops of water. SOLUTION: This is the active matrix type liquid crystal display device using a TFT array, a dummy passivation film 12 using the same material as a passivation film 7 in a TFT part is arranged in the neighborhood of the passivation film 7 in the TFT part at the position on a gate electrode 4 and also at the position not overlapped with a source electrode 9.
