PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair dye having excellent conditioning effects, for example, reducing hair damage during hair washing, imparting excellent combability after hair washing, and the like, and at the same time, capable of imparting gloss to the hair and giving no undesirable influence on dyeability. SOLUTION: The conditioning effect of a hair dye is improved by compounding 100 pts.wt. of the hair dye with 0.1-10 pts.wt. of a henna extract having a solid concentration of 0.01-2 wt.%.
