PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer utilization method allowing any one to easily identify an objective product from various kinds of products. SOLUTION: A product selection server 10 has a database 100 for storing part numbers of multiple products, appearance information expressing outside forms thereof and their appearance photographs. The selection server 10 receives an input of one or more words expressing the outside form of the product demanded by a user from a user terminal 30, retrieves the product having the outside form corresponding to the words inputted by the user from the database 100 and provides the part number and the appearance image of the retrieved product for the user terminal 30. The user can acquire the part number of the demanded product by seeing the part number and the appearance image displayed on the user terminal 30. The selection server 10 can send the display of an exploded diagram, a component list, failure analysis information and replacements of the product designated by the user to the user terminal 30. The selection server 10 can receive a purchase order of the product or a component of a part number designated by the user from the user terminal 30. |
