Each of the load-carrying arms 1 of a clevis comprises a stack of superimposed relatively thin spring steel leaves held together by means of a core member 2 and an external retaining cap 3. Contoured protuberances formed in the leaves are surrounded by a circlip 4 and engage complementary depressions in the core member 2. Coaxial circular holes 11, 12 in the arms 1 are adapted to receive a headed pin, and a pin retaining leaf spring 14 and anti-rattle leaf spring 15 are provided. The core member 2 has a screw-threaded bore 2a for connection to a rod or cable. |
