PURPOSE: A shock absorbing apparatus of upper and front parts of a vehicle is provided to prevent a pedestrian from being injured by absorbing and distributing impact with deforming a latch assembly. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorbing device of a vehicle is composed of a pressure unit(40) placed in a hood(H), and moved by impact at a collision; a transmission unit(50) moving along the moving stroke of the pressure unit; two release units(60,60') pivoting by the moving stroke of the transmission unit; a turning member(80) moved according to deformation of a latch assembly(10), and constrained and released by the release units; and a buffer member(90) fixed in the front of the vehicle to absorb shock with guiding moving of the turning member. A pedestrian is protected safely by absorbing and distributing impact with the latch assembly at a collision.
