PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel display device and a production method therefor, with which man-hours or packaging time in a packaging process is reduced and further, yield in the packaging process can be improved by improving the structure or packaging procedure of a packaging part. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal 34 is sealed in the area of a liquid crystal panel 30 surrounded with a seal member 33 between wafers 31 and 32. A wafer- expanding part 31T is provided on one wafer 31. On the surface of such a wafer-expanding part 31T, an integrated anisotropic conductive film 41 is stuck and both a semiconductor IC chip 45, and a second connecting part 47B of a flexible wiring board 45 are packaged thereon. |
