PURPOSE: A shock detecting sensor for a vehicle is provided to prevent an air bag from being erroneously developed by installing the shock detecting sensor in an interior part of an air bag computer. CONSTITUTION: A shock detecting sensor(20) includes a housing(21) having a rectangular sectional area. A coil spring(22) is installed at an inner portion of the housing(21) through the first supporting member(22a). One end of a leaf spring(23) is positioned at an upper portion of the coil spring(22) and the other end of the leaf spring(23) is fixed to a bottom of the housing(21) through the second supporting member(22b). A rotating member(24) is seated on an upper surface of the leaf spring(23). An on/off switch(25) is fixedly installed at an inner upper portion of the housing(21) so as to generate an electric signal by selectively making contact with the rotating member(24).
