PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where the temperature of a fixing area in the midst of performing a job to consecutively record images on many sheets is made as uniform as possible. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is equipped with a target temperature set value storage means C4 for storing job temperature set values T4a and T4b being the target value of the temperature of the fixing area when performing a job being image recording operation that a toner image is formed, the formed toner image is transferred to a recording sheet and the toner image on the recording sheet is fixed, a standby temperature set value being the target value of fixing temperature in the midst of standby that the start of the job is awaited, and job start time controlled temperature set values T3a and T3b lower than the temperature values T4a and T4b and higher than standby temperature values T2a and T2b. |
