PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video audio signal recorder that can surely make video recording linked with a timer reservation operation by an external device. SOLUTION: When a user brings the recorder into a standby state through an operation section 13 and an external device gives a remote control signal to a control signal input terminal CTLin, a CPU 4 receives the remote control signal via a signal detection section 1, an H/L inverter section 2 and a carrier elimination section 3. Upon the receipt of the remote control signal denoting power ON, the CPU 4 turns on the power supply and selectively receives signals from a 1st video signal input terminal V1in and a 1st audio signal A1in and starts video recording at a point of time when receiving a remote control signal denoting video recording start. |
