PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately adjust a plurality of spots in accordance with a signal which is produced for establishing the positional relation between a groove and a spot while observing both of the groove surface having the spot and the spot formed thereon, by using a translucent reference master disk correspond ing to the information recording surface. SOLUTION: The groove surface 2a of the translucent reference master disk 2 and a plurality of spots of the optical pickup formed on the groove surface are photographed by an imaging device 7 such as a CCD camera through the enlarging optical system 3 in the state that the enlarging optical system 3 is in focus on the master disk 2 and also in the state that a plurality of spots are kept to the focused condition with respect to the groove surface of the master disk 2, and the positional relation is measured by simultaneously observing them on a monitor 10 to produce a signal for establishing the relation between the groove position and the spot position, then the positions of a plurality of spots are adjusted in accordance with this signal.
