PURPOSE: A power supply device and method for a portable terminal is provided to perform only a minimum call by blocking the supply of a power to a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) module and supplying the power to only a call module in case that the residual quantity of a battery is insufficient. CONSTITUTION: A charge battery(120) charges a power by a charge circuit(110) and supplies the power to a PDA module(150) and a call module(160). A relay switch(140) blocks the supply of the power from the charge battery(120) to the PDA module(150). A level sensing unit(130) senses a charge level of the charge battery(120), switches the relay switch(140) when the sensed charge level is less than a uniform level, and blocks the supply of the power to the PDA module(150). |
