PURPOSE: A method for storing a telephone number in a cellular phone is provided to add an address editing item to a phone book editing menu and write the telephone number is an address for which a user wishes. CONSTITUTION: If a user pushes a menu key formed in a cellular phone, a control unit outputs a telephone editing menu of a latest transmission number, a latest reception signal, a search using a name, a search using an address, and a telephone number storage to a display unit. If the user selects the telephone number storage menu among the telephone editing menu, the control unit outputs messages of a name, a mobile communication number, a home number, an office number, a facsimile number, an E-mail number, an address to the display unit. If the user selected the address menu and designates a telephone number among the telephone storage menu, the control unit moves the designated telephone number to a specific address. If the user pushes a register key, the control unit stores the telephone number in a memory.
