A TDD FRAMING METHOD FOR A WIRELESS SYSTEM

A LAS-TDD framing method for physical layer of a wireless system, in which a LAS-TDD frame comprises a downlink sync SF, an uplink sync SF and traffic SFs, the method comprising the steps of calculating the number of chips per LAS-TDD frame based on chip rates and frame length; determining the number of chips for traffic SF by subtracting the number of chips for downlink sync SF and uplink sync SF from the number of chips per LAS-TDD frame; and determining the number of traffic SFs in the LAS-TDD frame and the number of chips in each traffic SF based on the length of the LA code. With the framing method according to the present invention, a large cell coverage can be achieved without any overlapping of the transmit and receive SFs.
