Optical fiber ribbon, and a process for making same, that emploxa radiation.curable, colored matrix material and comprises a plurality of colored optical fibers in a fixed arrangement, preferably parallel to one another, embedded within the cured matrix material. The colored matrix material is opaque, thereby providing a wider variaty of distinguishable matrix colors and hiding bleed-through from ink on coated opitcal fibers.
