摘要 The invention relates to quick-donning physiological protective equipment comprising: at least one oronasal mask (2) that is supplied with respirable gas by at least one supply tube (3) which channels the respirable gas, the pressure of which, PM, is greater than the pressure, PC, in the cabin where the wearer is located (1); optionally a visor (4); all or part of a pressure/flow regulation system that enables the wearer to breathe comfortably and safely; an extendible harness (5) having ends that are connected to the piece of equipment and comprising an element that can be (i) inflated by the PM-pressurised gas in order for the harness to be extended to a suitable length so that the wearer (1) can easily position the piece of equipment appropriately on the helmeted or non-helmeted head in a very short amount of time and using only one hand, and that can be (ii) emptied in the PC-pressurised cabin so that the harness can shrink by means of the elasticity thereof in such a way as to make the piece of equipment perfectly attached to the head. The inventive piece of equipment is characterised in that the harness (5) comprises a number n of different tubes (5a, 5b, 5c, etc.) that can be inflated at PM pressure and deflated at PC pressure individually, n being the smallest number possible in order to reduce the costs but sufficiently large to perform the functions required at each stage of the mission without it being necessary for an intermediary pressure to be used between pressures PC and PM, without the pressure in any of the tubes having to be manually adjusted and without it being necessary for a manual, user-adjustable element to be integrated into the harness (5). All the tubes (5a, 5b, 5c, etc.) are inflated at PM pressure when the equipment is positioned on the head and all said tubes (5a, 5b, 5c, etc.) are automatically emptied at cabin pressure PC when the cabin pressure drops below a predefined threshold PCS. Some of the tubes are inflated at pressure PM while the others are deflated at pressure PC in so-called normal flight situations.
