Divided bearing arrangement for crankshafts of a reciprocating combustion engine comprises a bearing half (2) formed in a crank housing (3) or in a cylinder block surrounding this housing and closed by a bearing cover (4), and elastic intermediate layers (7, 8) compressed in a restricted space between preferably conical surfaces (30, 40) on the crank housing in the region of the bearing cover. A reinforcing element (10) screwed against the crank housing/cylinder block covers the bearing cover of several bearing arrangements. The elastic intermediate layers are pre-tensioned between the reinforcing element and the bearing covers. Preferred Features: The bearing half is formed by a molding of gray cast iron or steel in a light metal crank housing or a light metal cylinder block surrounding the housing. The clamping screws (5, 6) of the bearing cover are screwed through the cylinder block in the cylinder head.
